Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Chicago, IL)

Foxglove Haven Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Chicago. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a large organisation of about 391 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of policy renewals and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with premium billing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
