Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Chicago, IL)

Ironwood Sparrow Energy Group is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for usage data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 631 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of usage data and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
