Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Charleston, SC)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Sable Insurance and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be variance reporting. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of premium billing and recommend where to save. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
