Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Buffalo, NY)

Ironwood Timber Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Buffalo, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 47 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Model the cost of student accounts and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
