Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Buffalo, NY)

Nova Stone Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Buffalo serving households and small businesses. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with branch operations. • A relevant degree or certification.
