Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Buffalo, NY)

Bright Cedar Banking Services is a regional lender in Buffalo with branches and a growing mobile service. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with deposit accounts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
