Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Boston, MA)

Fernwood Beacon Manufacturing is a Boston manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would join a large organisation of about 932 people based in Boston. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of work orders and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with tooling. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Boston. • We reply to every applicant.
