Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Vista Early Learning and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be variance reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 83 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of tuition and subsidies and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with classroom supplies. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
