Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Birmingham, AL)

Stonegate Orchard Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Birmingham region, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of billing disputes and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
