Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Birmingham, AL)

Foxglove Quill Civic Services works with county and city offices around Birmingham, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
