Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Austin, TX)

Cedar Maple Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Austin and nearby communities, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of treatment plant data and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
