Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Austin, TX)

Northwind River Financial is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for vendor spend, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people based in Austin. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of vendor spend and recommend where to save. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with loan applications. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
