Financial Analyst - pricing analysis (San Jose, CA)

Ironwood North Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around San Jose, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our pricing analysis. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of catastrophe response and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with premium billing. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
