Financial Analyst - pricing analysis (Hartford, CT)

Bright Thistle Insurance is an insurance company in Hartford with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on pricing analysis. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
