Financial Analyst - cost modelling (San Jose, CA)

Summit Birch Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around San Jose, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our cost modelling. You would join a small organisation of about 144 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Model the cost of case files and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with constituent requests. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
