Financial Analyst - cost modelling (San Diego, CA)

Lumen Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in San Diego working with agencies and riders. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on cost modelling. You would join a small organisation of about 71 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of fare systems and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
