Financial Analyst - cost modelling (San Diego, CA)

Foxglove Granite Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for San Diego and nearby communities, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our cost modelling. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Model the cost of billing accounts and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
