Financial Analyst - cost modelling (Richmond, VA)

Bright Meadow Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Richmond and nearby communities, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our cost modelling. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Model the cost of billing accounts and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
