Financial Analyst - cost modelling (remote)

Ironwood Kestrel Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Detroit, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our cost modelling. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of meal programmes and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with tuition and subsidies. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
