Financial Analyst - cost modelling (remote)

Ironwood Amber Insurance is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on cost modelling for premium billing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
