Financial Analyst - cost modelling (remote)

We are growing our team at Bright Insurance and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be cost modelling. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of claims and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
