Financial Analyst - cost modelling (remote)

Bluepeak Mill Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Richmond region. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on cost modelling. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Model the cost of meter readings and recommend where to save. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with service connections. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
