Financial Analyst - cost modelling (remote)

Cedar Summit Insurance Group sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Charlotte. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on cost modelling. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of underwriting files and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with policy renewals. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
