Financial Analyst - cost modelling (remote)

Northwind Mill Transit Planning Group helps transport agencies around Spokane design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on cost modelling. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with fare systems. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
