Financial Analyst - cost modelling (Oakland, CA)

Fernwood Kestrel Financial is a financial-services company in Oakland, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our cost modelling. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Model the cost of account servicing and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with vendor spend. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
