Financial Analyst - cost modelling (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Sable Learning Group and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be cost modelling. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Model the cost of family communication and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with school calendars. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
