Financial Analyst - cost modelling (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Loom Insurance and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be cost modelling. You would join a small organisation of about 60 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of policy renewals and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with catastrophe response.
