Financial Analyst - cost modelling (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Loom Insurance and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be cost modelling. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Model the cost of policy renewals and recommend where to save. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
