Financial Analyst - cost modelling (Cincinnati, OH)

Northwind Timber Insurance Group is an insurance company in Cincinnati with claims and service teams, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our cost modelling. You would join a large organisation of about 919 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Model the cost of premium billing and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Cincinnati, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
