Financial Analyst - cost modelling (Chicago, IL)

Northwind Beacon Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Chicago. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on cost modelling. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of pipe repairs and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
