Financial Analyst - cost modelling (Buffalo, NY)

Stonegate Nest Water Authority is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on cost modelling for capital projects, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 84 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of capital projects and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
