Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Seattle, WA)

Lumen Stone Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in Seattle working with agencies and riders, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of route schedules and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Seattle, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
