Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Northwind Bright Water Authority and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be budgeting and forecasting. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of treatment plant data and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
