Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (San Jose, CA)

Harborlight Pike Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the San Jose area, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of enrolment and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with learning materials. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
