Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (San Jose, CA)

Fernwood Maple Learning Group is an education provider in San Jose serving students and families, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of attendance records and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with learning materials. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
