Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (San Jose, CA)

Ironwood Fern Transit Planning helps transport agencies around San Jose design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 124 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of fare systems and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
