Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Sacramento, CA)

Bright Junction Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Sacramento, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 129 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of pipe repairs and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
