Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Rochester, NY)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Mill Transit Planning and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be budgeting and forecasting. You would join a large organisation of about 208 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Model the cost of service alerts and recommend where to save. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with route schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
