Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Richmond, VA)

Northwind Thistle Markets is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on budgeting and forecasting for store inventory, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 401 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of store inventory and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with promotions. • A relevant degree or certification.
