Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Summit Field Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Madison area. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of pipe repairs and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Madison. • We reply to every applicant.
