Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Cedar Junction Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Baltimore area. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of water quality and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
