Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Summit Glen Transit Planning · Remote · part time

Summit Glen Transit Planning is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on budgeting and forecasting for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Model the cost of ridership counts and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with route schedules. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
