Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Fernwood Timber Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from El Paso. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of regulatory reports and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with vendor spend. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
