Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Bright Union Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Milwaukee, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of fare systems and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with route schedules. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Milwaukee. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
