Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

We are growing our team at Nova Sable Insurance and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be budgeting and forecasting. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
