Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Cedar Birch Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Louisville region, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 125 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of service connections and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with usage data. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
