Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Lumen Stone Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Honolulu design routes and schedules, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
