Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Juniper Transit Planning Partners and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be budgeting and forecasting. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of route schedules and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Milwaukee. • We reply to every applicant.
