Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Silverline Lantern Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Providence. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of catastrophe response and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
