Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Fernwood Willow Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Minneapolis. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Model the cost of classroom supplies and recommend where to save. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
